Rory Gildea, CPA is currently an accountant at Gildea & Ivanis, LLP and has been with the firm since 2006. He works primarily with small businesses and entrepreneurs, although he is always up for new challenges. Rory spends a fair amount of his time working on tax engagements for his clients. When tax is not the pressing issue, Rory advises companies on general finance policy, procedure, and strategic planning. Gildea has focused on the growing tech sector in New York, although he has clients in virtually all industries. Rory has advised countless startups to help guide them through maturity. He has acted as CFO, controller, advisor, tax expert, and strategist for his clients over the years. His experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and raising capital add significant value to the companies he works with. Gildea received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Marist College. He is a Certified Public Accountant in New York State, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Accounts Club of America. Rory is also a QuickBooks ProAdvisor.

When Rory is not in the office, he spends time with his wife and to young children. In addition, Rory serve on the board of directors of a cooperative in New York City. Rory is also connected with fundraising for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. He first got connected to the Leukemia & Lymphoma society through its endurance training program, Team in Training. After completing several marathons, half marathons, & Triathlons, Rory successfully fundraised over $25,000 for the organization and continues to support the organization through various fundraisers throughout the year.
